That and the fact that I'm doing work experience at
[link] and it is fucking AWESOME. Everybody there is wonderful and friendly and SO GEEKY! You know when you look in a copy of a gaming magazine and see pictures of their desks in the What We've Been Doing pages, and they're all covered with figurines and posters and uberfannage and it looks so beautiful and you just want to go and live there. It was just like that. You could tell exactly what everybody was into and everything was so beautiful and they had comics lying around everywhere and pictures of stuff they'd printed out taped to the walls and I SAW SOMEONE WITH A ZIM MODEL. There are also little sticky notes everywhere that people have doodled on. Which is one of the loveliest things to see in a workplace ever. There's a piece of paper on one of the toilet doors depicting a stickman screaming "NOOOOOOOOO!!!!" and crying. Look me in the eyes (over the internet) and tell me that that's not made of pure, concentrated awesome. The view from the workspace they cleared for me (next to

who is wicked neat) is really beautiful. And. Dear crap, I think I just want to live there. Did I mention that these are the guys responsible for the Legend Show, Grandpa In My Pocket? My brother is probably the only person as of yet who was able to comprehend just how amazing that is. I mean. Ever since we heard about it, we've been watching it out of morbid curiosity (I definitely recommend it to anybody who loves things that fall into the So Bad It's Good category) and seeing people actually working on the thing is wonderful. And kind of headache inducing because of how scarily technical everything is. I wish so much that school could be just as happyface as Dinamo.
My mum came to pick me up at five, cos she's lovely (and dubious of my sense of direction) like that and we spent some quality time together. So for the first time in a long while we went out for a meal with just the two of us, which was really nice. We don't really go out like that very often anyway, so even though we went to a (conveniently) not-so-expensive restaurant (the one I like to think is called 'Uncle Joe's Tasty Wok' but I know it isn't actually), we had a really god time and felt very special. We had jelly and cake, just so that you can put this particular special into a I HAVEN'T HAD JELLY IN HALF A DECADE *NOSTALGIAAAA* context.
After that we went to a bookshop, where I failed miserably at finding a copy of Kindling by James Jean but managed to get myself a book of Sir Francis Bacon's stuff while mum sat in a squishy chair nearby, giggling at a book about sex that she picked up from somewhere. Overall, not a bad outcome. Especially since the only word on the cover of the book I bought is '
BACON'.
I'll leave you with that thought and also these music videos:
